Te Reo resources
Te Reo Maori - Let's learn words (kupu) for the months of the year and the four seasons. There are links on the blog to a song and an activity sheet to help us. Perhaps you could draw and label in te reo, a Spring scene.
Te Reo Maori - Learn your Pepeha
A Pepeha is an introduction of ourselves in Te Reo Maori. Print or copy out the Pepeha outline, fill in your information and try to learn it. There is no one way to write a Pepeha, if your family has a preferred structure, feel free to use it. Reading it, recording yourself saying it, or drawing it may help you learn. Watch this clip of a Pepeha, listening for the correct pronunciation.

Māori simon says
Have a go at playing simon says with a member of your family. I have attached the cards, you could print these or choose randomly on your computer instead. The game uses 'Tamariki ma' instead of 'simon says' however you could use "whakarongo hoa" which means 'listen friend'.
For example:
Shuffle cards.
"Whakarongo hoa, E Tū". (your family member (or you) stand up.
"E Tū". (Don't stand because they didn't say whakarongo hoa 'simon says')
The translations are on one of the cards.
